Belts

215X140Your vehicle’s engine relies on properly functioning belts. Your manufacturer suggests having these belts changed at specific mileage intervals to ensure a well running engine. While having these belts serviced and replaced, it is a good idea to also have the belt idler pulleys and tensioner pulleys checked to make sure the entire belt system is working correctly.

At AAA Car Care, we perform the following belt services:

Serpentine Belt Service

Serpentine belts transfer power from the crankshaft to engine accessories, such as A/C, power steering, alternator, fan, and various other pumps and accessories.  Due to periodic wear, serpentine belts may need to be replaced.

Replacement Service includes:

  • Visually inspect the serpentine belt
  • Remove and replace old or worn serpentine belt

Timing Belt Service

This service is performed based on your manufacturer’s suggested service interval. You can find your manufacturer’s suggested interval for this in your owners manual. Your interval can range anywhere from 60,000- 105,000 miles. Depending upon driving conditions, your belt may need changing earlier than the suggested mileage.

Replacement Service includes:

  • Remove and replace old or worn timing belt
  • Check all drive belts for wear, rot or fraying
  • Check all tensioners
  • Replace tensioners as needed
