What’s included in a standard tune up? As a part of this service, AAA Car Care Center ASE certified technicians will:
- Replace spark plugs
- Perform a road test
- Check filters, ignition wires, distributor cap and rotors (if applicable)

Years ago, tune-ups were recommended at every 30,000-mile interval. Times have changed and electronic ignition, fuel injection and computers have entered the preventative vehicle maintenance arena. We recommend that every vehicle have a standard tune-up at least once a year. Today’s tune-up is more sophisticated, but some things remain the same. By having regular, scheduled preventive maintenance done on your car, you’ll likely see longer life and improved performance.
